Theresa A. Batzel, age 66, wife of James A. Batzel II, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in the Reading Hospital. Born on August 6, 1957 in Phoenixville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ralston Grubb and Jean (Newman) Spotts, and she was raised by her Aunt and Uncle Anna and Donald Bauman
Terry was a 1975 graduate of Spring-Ford High School. She worked as a purchasing agent for 26 years at Welex in Blue Bell, PA. She then moved on to Jones Motor Group, Stearly's Motor Freight, and finally Bridgeway Freight Transportation before retiring in February 2024.
Terry loved crocheting, yearly family vacations in North Wildwood, NJ, and listening to the music of Steve Perry, Elvis, John Denver, the Bee Gees, and Eric Church. She loved dogs, especially her beagle Rebel who passed before her. Terry was an avid cook, and she was proud of the cookbook collection she had accumulated over the years.
In addition to her husband, Terry is survived by one son, Christopher Batzel; one sister, Carol Grubb; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Grubb. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Grubb.
A private graveside service will take place in the Highland Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home.
