Robert “Tex” L. Williams, Jr., 87, of Zanesville, Ohio went to Eternal Rest on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at his home, with his daughter and son-in-law by his side. Robert was born February 11, 1934 in Waco, Texas, to the late Robert L. And Ima (Johnson) Williams, Sr. In addition to his parents, Robert is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Williams; two sisters, Janice (Freddie) Whitfield and Ima Jean (James) Nelson; brother, Willie Bruce Williams; a niece, Katrina; nephew, Jeryl Wayne Whitfield; and a grandson, Cory Christian.

Tex leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Aaron (Kathy) Williams, Vincent (Debbie) Christian, Mike (Jill) Beauford, Ray (Valentina) Christian and Darryl Christian; daughters, Robin (Chad) Wilkins, Caye Walker, Selina (Hamid) Safari, Jestina Williams; 25 grandchildren, including special granddaughters, Misti “Pooh” Black, Burgandee Hodge and Terrisonah “TT” Walker; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Roger Sparrow; special caregivers, Brittany Walker, Laura Carrell and Orvella Hampton; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Robert was a United States Military Veteran. He served in the US Air Force, during which time he fought in the Korean War. Tex went on to dedicate many years of employment to Columbia Cement before retiring. Robert enjoyed a trip to the casino, and was known for his skilled BlackJack playing. He was known for his wonderful cooking that he would often prepare for loved ones. Tex also enjoyed watching Westerns, and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and the Cincinnati Reds. Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed.

You may call on the family Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, in Zanesville. Pastor Ernest Dandridge officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Military Rd., in Zanesville. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
