Robert H. "Bobby" Callihan, 72, of Shaffer Mountain Road, New Paris, died Monday, November 22, 2021 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital, Snake Spring Twp.
Mr. Callihan was born in New Paris, PA on July 22, 1949, son of the late Harry A. and Lucille (Oldham) Callihan.
On August 8, 1971 Bobby married Joann (Onstead) Callihan. This year they celebrated 50 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by Daughter- Jennifer L. wife of David R. Lafferty, Bedford; Son- Justin H. husband of Cristie (Huckeba) Callihan, Charlottesville, VA; Grandchildren Tyler, Hannah, Laney and Thaddeus Lafferty, Kinley, Camden and Sawyer Callihan; Sister- Diane E. Callihan, New Paris; Brother- R. Jay husband of Chris (Young) Callihan and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Robert was preceded in death by Brothers Veryl and Richard Callihan.
Mr. Callihan was drafted and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Bobby retired after 43 years of service from Lane Enterprise. He was also a Truck Driver and Farmer and he greatly enjoyed both.
He was a member of the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440.
Mr. Callihan attended New Paris United Methodist Church.
Bobby was an amazing and kind-hearted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who could make you smile. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Graveside Service will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park at 11:00AM on Friday, November 26 with Pastor Clyde Lasure officiating.
