Paulette Jeanne Helmstetter

Paulette “Jeannie” Jeanne Helmstetter, 80, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024.
Born October, 30 1943, in Cumberland, MD, Mrs. Helmstetter was the daughter of the late Paul Millard Crabtree, and Juanita Irene (Myers) Crabtree.
Jeannie was the co-owner and operator of Waynes Service Center for over 50 years. She was a 1961 Fort Hill High School graduate, where she was faithfully active in the Reunion Committee. She attended the Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Jeannie loved NASCAR and going to Daytona Beach, not only for the beach, but the NASCAR races as well.
Jeannie is survived by her husband of 59 years: Wayne Helmstetter; her daughter: Lisa Crabtree and husband, Blair; her son: DeWayne Helmstetter and wife, Cheri; her grandchildren: Cody, Cory, and Colten Crabtree; and Logan and Emma Helmstetter; her great grandchild: Gavin Crabtree; her sister: Carol Riley; and her brother: Larry Crabtree and Barb Walker.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M., with Father Mark Carter O.F.M. Cap officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the ICU staff at UPMC Western Maryland, Dr. Sensabaugh, Dr. Lee and nurse Emma, and a very special thanks to the Dialysis Unit for their years of care.
