Mc Connells, SC – Mary L. Hough Minton, 96 years of age, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at MUSC-Lancaster Medical Center, Lancaster, SC.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Garden Sanctuary Church of God, 831 Cedar Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730 with Reverend Patrick Conley and Bishop Michael Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, 620 South Cherry Road, Rock Hill. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC.

Born in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Minton was the daughter of the late John Martin Hough and the late Viola Mackey Hough Hefner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Howard Minton, Sr., her sons, Kenneth Morgan Stevens, and Wade Richard Aiken; her step-father and step-mother, Raymond and Hassie Hefner; her brother, Robert “Bud” Hough; three sisters, Ruby Blackwelder, Lottie Thomas, and Hassie Starnes. She was retired from Celanese Corporation, Rock Hill with over 24 years of service and was employed with Kiddie Kollege of Rock Hill for over 10 years. Mrs. Minton was a member of Garden Sanctuary Church of God in Rock Hill.

Mrs. Minton is survived by three sons, Robbie M. Hough and his wife Julia Hough of Mc Connells, Chris Minton and his wife Debra Minton of Mc Connells, Howie Minton, Jr. of Catawba, SC; two daughters, Diane Davis of Mc Connells, and Debi Gantt and her husband Bill Gantt of Beaufort, SC; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Annie Rosetta George of Rock Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mary L. Minton’s name to Garden Sanctuary Church of God, 831 Cedar Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
