Martha W Lee

Martha Wallace Lee, 94, a longtime resident of Mint Hill and a more recent resident of Asbury Care Center, died June 3, 2021.

Martha spent a lifetime as a homemaker and caring for her family. She enjoyed flowers and working in her yard. Martha loved music and enjoyed playing the piano. She served as a church organist at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in her early married years and throughout her life accompanied youth choirs and encouraged the development of the music program in her church. She also enjoyed playing for nursing home residents.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James Ranson Lee of Mint Hill, NC. She is survived by her son, James Ranson Lee, Jr. and wife, Linda Lee, of Olive Branch, NC; daughter, Drucie Eudy of Locust, NC; two sisters, Shirley Jordan of Oakboro, NC and Judy Hood of Mint Hill, NC; and brother, Robert L. Wallace and wife, Donna Wallace, of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until 11:00 am Monday, June 7, 2021, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, with a memorial service following at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. The Reverend Bruce Creswell will officiate and music will be provided by Tim Brown. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
