Cresaptown—Martha Mae Walton, 94, of Cresaptown, passed away at UPMC Western Maryland on May 5, 2021.
Born in Allegany County, MD, on March 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William and Eva (Smith) Ravenscroft. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Walton, Jr.; brothers, Billy, Robert, Ronnie, and Tommy; sister, Mary Cage.
Martha was glass cutter for Queen City Glass Company. She was a member of Centre Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and crocheting. In her early years, Martha enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband and family.
She is survived by her children, William H. Walton, III and wife, Tomla, and M. Louise Saville and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Michelle Saville, Michael Saville, Jr. and fiancee, Krystle Mussellman and her son, Jacob, Mark Saville and Ali Cleis, Jason Walton, and Amy Kohn and husband, Matthew; great-grandchildren, Landen, Caleb, Sarah, and Liam Kohn; sister, Doris Andersen; sister-in-law, Margaret McNeil. Martha is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Because of health care considerations, the funeral service will be private.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Saville, Mark Saville, Jason Walton, Landen Kohn, and Matthew Kohn.
