Lonnie Stancil

Lonnie Stancil, 86 of Charlotte NC passed away June 16, 2021 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Southminster. Lonnie was born October 29, 1934 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late Archie James and Lessie Belle Wilson Stancil.
Lonnie was a building contractor working with Brookhill Village and Reynolds Construction Company; he was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed working in his garden, going deer hunting and fishing with his son, Mike, Sr and grandson Mike Jr. Lonnie was a hard working man with his dedication to his Lord, his wife, children and his work.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years; Nora Mae Hough Stancil, children; Renee Ivester (husband Mike, deceased) and Mike Stancil (wife, Tanya), grandchildren; Jessica, Amber, Megan, Chase and Mike Jr. (deceased), great-grandchildren; Emily, Rylee and Jordyn, Sisters: Mary Bell Grice and Frances Quick, also many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday June 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Services of Indian Trail, NC with funeral service at 12:00PM at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens on Lawyers Road, Mint Hill NC
