Jane Elizabeth Ebbitt

November 29, 1937 - May 31, 2021 (Age 83)

Jane Elizabeth (Marszalek) Ebbitt, 83, died Monday, May 31, 2021, in her home with family near her side after courageously battling pancreatic cancer. She was born November 29, 1937, the second daughter of the late Stanley and Regina Marszalek. She graduated from the Braddock School of Nursing. As a Student Nurse she met and cared for her future husband, John “Jack” Ebbitt, who predeceased her more than fifteen years ago. After raising four children, she returned to nursing and worked at Briarcliff Pavilion, Baldock Nursing Home, Geri Care Plus, and as a Consultant for various nursing homes throughout the Commonwealth. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in North Huntingdon, where she was a member of the Confraternity Christian Mothers and worked the fish fries for decades. She also was a member of Penns Woods Civic Association, The Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Jane truly embraced and radiated her Polish heritage as well as enjoyed the Ebbitt and “MOP” reunions. Jane had a frankness about her and will be sadly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by various friends, neighbors and relatives of the Ebbitt, Marszalek, Olszewski and Packowski extended families. Loving mother to sons J.R.
