Harold Hubert Ball, 78, of Ridgeley, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Devlin Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born February 7, 1943 in Preston County, WV, he was the son of the late Hubert Ball and Blanche H. (Wolfe) Ball.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Murray.
Harold was a graduate of Ridgeley High School.
He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, where he had worked as their custodian. He was also a social member of the Ridgeley VFW Post 6452.
Mr. Ball was an avid Redskins fan. He also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates. Over the years, he enjoyed racing slot cars, talking on the CB radio, taking walks, and spending time at the Downtown Cumberland McDonald’s.
Survivors include his brother, Gary Ball and wife Cynthia, Bunker Hill; sisters, Janet Lewis and husband Donnie, Carpendale, and Sandra Sell and husband Bob, Carpendale; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Monday from noon-1 PM.
The funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 1 PM, with the Rev. Richard Jewell, officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
