Florence Carol Little
October 30, 1936 - March 20, 2024 (Age 87)
Florence Carol Little, 87, of Zanesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Cedar Hill Healthcare & Rehabilitation. She was born October 30, 1936, in Little Hocking, Ohio, the daughter of David M. and Lovetha M. McPeek Ice.
She worked the majority of her career in the banking industry, as she worked through 3 bank mergers. She always said one day there would only be 1 or 2 big banks. She was a member of Euclid Ave, United Methodist Church in Zanesville prior to its closure. She enjoyed gardening and watching her Rose of Sharon Bush and morning glories bloom every year.
Carol was very involved with NAMI (The National Alliance on Mentally Ill), helping with the local support group and advocating for individuals affected by Mental Illness.
She is survived by her children, Keith Little of Cambridge, Brian Little of Zanesville, and Cindy Nye (Lee Williams) of Canal Winchester.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Gail Ice, Wanda Woomer, Ethel Armstrong, Grant Ice and Doris Massaro.
Friends and family may call from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville with Pastor Jason Boggs officiating. A private family graveside service will be held at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your local Salvation Army, an organization which helped out her family when she was growing up.
