Charles Anthony Colarusso

December 30, 1943 - March 25, 2024 (Age 80)

Charles A. Colarusso, 80, of Greensburg, died Monday, March 25, 2024, at his daughter’s home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 30, 1943, in Greensburg, a son of the late Antonio and Leola (Smeltzer) Colarusso. Prior to retirement, Charles had been employed by S&C Pipeline Company. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran. He was a Vice Commander of the Amvets Post No. 88, Greensburg. Charles was a member of the 333 Club, 49ers Club, SNPJ Lodge, Roosevelt Club, Hempfield Township, Slovak Social Club, American Legion Post No. 981, South Greensburg, and the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, MaryEllen (DeArmint) Colarusso; a brother, Joseph Colarusso; and an infant brother, Freddy. He is survived by his three children, Cheryl Ream and husband David, Melissa Colarusso and Fiancé Patrick Provident, and Anthony Colarusso and wife Vicki, and their mother, Bonita (Answine) Colarusso; two step-children, Kimberly Mullen (Don) and Cindy Greenough (Glenn); 11 grandchildren, Catlyn Bailey (Steven), Vincent Ream, Luke Ream, Jarrett Ream (fiancé Carly Litz), Jaclyn Scarpa (Chett), Corrin Colarusso, Kalei Colarusso, DeLanna Colarusso, Samantha Provident, Eric Parfitt (Sara), and Jessica Mazzaferro; several great-grandchildren; four siblings, Carl Colarusso, Julianne Thompson and husband Fred, Mark Colarusso and wife Carol, and Beverly Lojas and husband Bernie; a sister-in-law, Eileen Colarusso; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 PM Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg with Full Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg Honor Guard. The family would like to thank Independence Health System, especially nurse Rebecca Long, and Heartland Hospice, especially Shari Taylor and her team for their kind and compassionate care.
